So lots of green paint later the mural at Crazy Mocha is complete. Took my about 14 days. I'm pretty pleased with it and if you get a chance you should check it out. It's a lot bigger than it appears in these photos. All together I would say its about 15' x 6'. The grandparents were inspired by my grandparents George and Natalie Lute. I like the idea of them sitting there on the bench together for everyone to see.

My show at Remedy in Lawrenceville was pretty awesome. Sold lots of stuff. Lots of people came out and I feel pretty good about the whole thing. It's up for one more weekend so if you are around go check it out.

Also finished the mural down at Crazy Mocha downtown. I'm gonna post some pictures soon. It came out very well I think and I hope everyone there enjoys it.

Getting Nice Out

Well I have been busy which is always a good thing. I've had the opportunity to work on some great projects recently. The weather is starting to get a little nicer out and I think everyone is in a better mood. I know I am. This year is already been pretty great and I'm pretty excited for summer and what that will bring.

Anyways, here is billboard that I recently worked on that will hopefully be popping up next month. It was fun to work on and I hope it prints good.

Started work on a new t-shirt design for Rusty Waters. The site is currently under construction and will be using a new interface that I helped design. I will keep you updated when that comes out.

In more artwork news I have a skateboard up at the new Project 50/50 that will be held at the Firehouse Lounge in the strip this friday from 7:30 until 10. Should be a great time because they always are. Alright well I will be back soon to give you some more details on how it all goes down.

Wow, ok it has been quite awhile. I've been busy with the holidays and all that jazz. Got a new shirt out on Rusty Waters and we are currently updating the website so lots of cool stuff coming out on that end. We are finally getting all our stuff together for Alfred Bird Design Group which will be officially official this year so if you know anyone that needs any design work done let us know! Got a big Art Show coming up in May. More details to come soon!

Wow lots going on

So I've been up to quite a few things lately. The most recent was an art show I had at my buddy's bicycle shop. It was just as fun as last year's birthday bash art show we put on there. I sold 6 pieces and left with a smile and a good buzz. Here are some of the animal paintings which were part of the show. So cutesy I know. The graphic designing has been picking up as well with this week being a whirlwind of different stuff. I will be updating my website, Seth Storck .com very soon so watch out for that.

Also Rusty Waters is in the midst of putting together their christmas party, The Rust Belt Winter Rumble, which will feature jello wrestling amongst other jolly xmas festivites. I'm sure I will be posting more about that in the near future so keep an eye out.

So today is the Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers show. Pretty excited about this. This will be the 7th time I have seen them I believe. They are always a good time. Its hot as hell though so there will be plenty of fluid intake and sunscreen.

New Work out and About

So just finished the cover of Under a Nightmare's new album. Think it came out pretty good and glad to know it will be out there for everyone to see. I spent a lot of time toning down the color because I have a tendency to make things too bright and too happy for some material I think. Overall I think it has the 80s feel they wanted but my color palate is still intact.
Also....
My shirt designs are now up and ready to be bought over at Rusty Waters clothing. I did two this run and hopefully will be doing two more for the fall line which will be coming out in late September early October. These are really comfortable shirts and definitely unique so if you support the Rust Belt get on over and purchase one. Lots of great shirts to choose from. You don't have to buy mine I will forgive.

So hopefully soon this will be available for your drinking enjoyment. It's made by Flat Rock which is made by Stoneys Beer. This is their first in a series of different beers and it should be available sometime this month on draft and hopefully in bottles in the near future. I guess I didn't realize that summer was the big beer season. Kind of the opposite of tv shows. So nothing to watch the more people drink I suppose.

I'm also working on the new Under a Nightmare album which are always really fun to do. I'm drawing lots of skeletons riding skateboards so we will see how this one turns out. Lots of awesome 80s colors is all I'm going to say.

I haven't drawn a tattoo in awhile so its good to get back into it again. I've drawn quite a few in my day and I must say the tattoo artists have done excellent jobs put them on skin. My friend Chris wanted a cassette tape that looked like a skull. Funny enough I had been toying with this idea about a year ago for my friends recording studio but that project never happened so its good to revisit an old idea. This is just the first idea I put together and I have some other ones I would like to try. Oh well we will see how it goes. Hopefully something good will happen with it.

Another great 50/50 artist show at OTB went down on Saturday. Lots of fun. Lots of great seats. Definitely looking forward to the next 50/50 project. Always lots of different artists and styles. Good to see a big turnout and I'm sure there are pictures from the happenings all over the net.

Dees Cafe's art show was really good as well. Lots of cool stuff going on there too. So all in all it was a really long weekend for me. New pieces will be up for sale soon in a shop I have yet to create but I will keep you posted.

Well some interesting stuff happened today and it wasn't good stuff really at all but today will be better I'm sure. Lots of stuff in the works as far as what I'm going to be doing in the future so hopefully I can get some glue and fill the cracks so I can start teetering in a better direction. Until all the dust settles I won't know for sure what I'm going to be doing but doing something is what I shall be doing like always. Bearded Dragons

So on Sunday I went to my first Reptile Expo in Harmarville and it was pretty intense to say the least. I be there were about 400+ snakes there in tiny little plastic bowls. There were gila monsters and rattlnesnakes and poison dart frogs, oh and snapping turtles too. A few kinds of snapping turtles actually. It was overall pretty memorable and I will probably go back again. Well anyway I didn't leave there empty handed. I have been looking in to bearded dragons ever since Pierre decided to kick the bucket. They had quite a few to pick from at the show and I ended up with a female red morph bearded dragon. They come in different colors which breeders try hard to produce by pairing certain colored parents together to get a more vibrant offspring. I guess it is kind of nazi-ish really? Anyway the more intense the color the more expensive they go for but I guess you have to worry about inbreeding since that would produce theoretically the best colors. Well anyways, I named her Biannca and she is pretty smart for a little lizard and I hope she gets nice and big so I can carry her around on my shoulder like some of the more exotic people I saw at the show.

I'm going to try and go to my very first reptile expo to try and find a replacement buddy since my little buddy Pierre past away. Hopefully I can find a baby sunfire bearded dragon to replace him. I'm going to name him Hernadez. So fingers crossed on finding a new buddy.

Here is what I placed in the 12 x 12 show that is currently going on at Fast Forward Gallery in Lawrencville. It was a great turn out and I had a little too much of a good time in the form of various cups of boxed red wine. I sold one of the pieces which is always really cool and this is kinda the new style I've been working with. Its a lot more fun for me working this way so I think I'm gonna stick with it and see how it evolves. There are a lot more of this style lying around my bedroom so be on the lookout for some more of this stuff on here.

Its been awhile since I wrote on here. Oh well its not like anyone missed me. HAHA. Sarcasm. Anyways, I'm contimplating doing another art show this summer with some friends who asked me to do it but unfortunately I have never really had any luck with it so its a bit frustrating to get all excited only to get let down. It would give me a reason to do some new stuff though. I'm still kicking around some ideas here and there. I have some stuff that needs framed. I think I'm sticking with paper from now on. I need to just dial it all in. Oh well we will see how it all goes.

sooo. I blew it this time. I ordered the gf a freaking present from amazon last friday when I got paid (last friday!) and silly old Amazon didn't ship it until a day ago or something. Its scheduled to arrive on monday and here is the kicker: Maggie is leaving for home tomorrow so that means she won't be getting her present (the most expensive) until sometime before new years. That really sucks. I screwed this up. I chose free shipping like a penny pincher and now its coming back to bite me in that ass. damn it. I was rained on this morning, both mentally and physically, can you tell.....blah.

So 'tis the season. I have to get out there and find the perfect gift. Not one that that special someone actually wants but one that I some how figure out with fill the void in their life and make the rest of their days more joyous with this new acquisition. This might sound like a bad thing but I actually really love it. I love christmas. I love its ruthless spending. It gets you through the long winter months. I'm not a fan of the jesus people who are all "christmas is about religion and blah blah blah." Yeah I would rather get presents and get other people presents and put ornaments on the tree and wrap stuff and listen to weird music. Its totally great removing all the religious downers that silly people try to slap you with. Give me a break. If americans don't spend billions of dollars at this time then our economy would be even worse. This is what keeps all those little stores going that everybody loves but nobody really shops at. Christmas has the ability to save cool stuff and cool stuff has nothing to do with a baby who wasn't even born on christmas day. christmas rules the way it is. Consume consume consume. Making other people and yourself happy is not something i feel guilty about.

Well there was way too many references to "grown up" today. Too much serious stuff. It was weird and a little annoying. All of it was coming from people younger than me. They want to be all adult and stuff. I don't think people realize that there isn't a point where you all of a sudden switch to adult. I think it is the same for the rest of your life. You never know what to do you just do what you think is right at the time. You may look at things in a more realistic light as you get older and I think that is pretty much the extent of adulthood, realizing that the possibilities of your life get bleaker and bleaker with every passing year. The lights only get dimmer. Ok now I'm a little bitter.

Well the art show was so-so on Sunday. Good bands lots of nice peoples but no purchases from my table which is sad but alright all the same. Thanksgiving was good. I had some drinks with some former best friends and stayed up to the wee hours of the morning listening to a young girl beg my friend to bed her. It was a little bit awkward because she sounded a bit like a boozed up pixie. I use the term "pixie" only to describe the sound of her voice, in no way was she pixiey-ish. Anyways, good times with the turkey and the potatoes and the stuffing. All good stuff. I got a start on Xmas shopping and today my ipod has broke. I probably will not pursue getting it fixed I will probably just buy a new one because for some strange reason I act like my time is precious and that I can't be bothered with such silly things as actually looking into getting something fixed thinking that it will involve me having to pack and place postage on something to send it away to a far off place like Ohio so they can put a new battery in it and I will probalby forget about it anyway and then get upset when I rememeber forgetting about it. Yeah I'm going to probably avoid that mess. Anyway, here is a piece that did not sell from the art show that is about addictions and them being fun even though you are an addict. ok god bless.

So yesterday was a bit of an "eww" day. Working on silly projects that in turn work on driving me nuts. Perhaps I may be bitter at times but is it wrong to want something better for yourself? Hhhmm I don't think so. You only get to live once right? Well I'm assuming that at least. Weeks tend to fly by when you sit in front of a screen all day looking at imaginary stuff. Is this a career I'm building or a black hole for my memories of these years? Sometimes I can't tell. Its scary thinking you won't be able to tell until its too late. Anyways I have to get motivated to get the ball rolling again over mountains and hills and valleys and such. If i can stay (+) it just might happen. Oh well I'm going to pretend all my worries are black smoke and my ears are two smoke stacks and I'm going to pollute the ozone with the nastyness and then only drink positiveness until I'm drunk and happy and ready to roll.

Halloween as well as my birthday has passed another year. My slash costume went well even though I don't remember anybody because my sunglasses were too dark. Oh well I think it was for the best really. Another slash I met got choked on a the pool table at the moose. It was pretty intense. What a time. 25 here I am. What a crazy bit its been so far. Anyway it's friday and I'm going out for birthday dinner. So the cold hand of Tuesday is bringing me down. Why is a dreary Tuesday worse than a dreary Monday? I don't know. Seriously. No clue. Another day of sitting in front of a computer feels vaguely too familiar to be considered "living." My job could be considered meaningless. My entire career will be based on opinions. " I think...." and " I feel that ..." will be the corner stones of my existence. My talent is the ability to make people think or feel what I'm saying is the best. That is a lot to ask someone to do for 50 years or so. It gets tiring. Add to that me sitting here at a company that has no idea what I do or why they pay me and it really does bring you down. After awhile of reflecting on what it is exactly I am here to do, I find myself drawing a blank as well. There is no recognition or respect. Everyone thinks they can do my job. Maybe they can who knows. Three years of being worthless is enough for anyone to loose any sort of drive to be someone and do something. I feel like a mouse whose tail is caught under some asshole's loafer while his ugly face laughs above me. In this scenario that ugly face is eating a hotdog and gobs of ketchup and mustard are raining down on me like the expectations I once had for myself. In other words its another sad day.

So I haven't really been busy. I've been training on Lynda and let me tell you she can be a salty one. Ive probably put in about 10 hours of watching tutorials and listening to random voices of people who talk to you but you don't talk to them. The weather is chilly and so is the feeling in this office. Like a cold hand touching your privates. Creepy. It's so quiet and dreary. Dark times are upon the office. No one is friends between departments. There are invisible lines in the invisible sand that no one dare cross. Trouble is brewing. I can smell it. Its hard to imagine life back on the 25th floor. Down here on the 13th, life is a bitch.

Today I get to go to the doctors and maybe, if I'm super unlucky, get my prostate checked. Lets keep the fingers crossed on that one. I have to go during lunch so that means I won't have anytime to read my new book - the young adult phenomenon known as Twighlight. Its pretty good so far. I think the movie will be pretty weird though just with what has happened so far. I dont know if the story is worth four 500 page novels. I'm looking at the dumbest art/crap installation I have ever seen curtousy of my employer. Its nice to know that no one else is a fan either. People keep pushing it in and I keep pushing it out man. Today they wanted me to throw all the stuff away that wasn't "organized." That is stupid. I thought this was a studio. A creative place of refuge. I guess I was wrong. Some ideas are stupid and shouldn't be allowed to walk around. Ideas are funny because you don't pay for them but you still get upset when people steal them. Its cold and depressing in this office so I'm going to think of rainbows and unicorns all day or maybe I will think of Eric and Janna getting tanked and making out in front of everybody at Dee's. So today sucks. Job going nowhere. Its a freaking Tuesday. Its cold in this piece. I ate horrible licorish (apparently the devil's candy) and now its three twelve and my eyes are burning and my nose holes are as well. Long sentences are my game. Fuck spelling. AAaahhh. I can't wait to go home and fold some laundry and forget everything that happened to day. Overall today wasnt a bad day.

This is the start of my friend's Horror rock/Punk/Creepy Metal band's upcoming album artwork that I have been doing for the past two weeks. It has changed a lot since this version. I still have to do all the other little parts of the cd like the spine and the actual cd itself. Good times. The band has a myspace too. I'm not going to link it because I don't feel like it but they are called under a nightmare.
